Albany to tackle short-term rental regulations

The city's Common Council is developing legislation while waiting to see what the state proposes.

"Majority Leader Ginnie Farrell said the city will need to see what the state does and how it impacts the city’s needs. Farrell said she believed the city needs to find a revenue stream from the short-term rental market to support the resources to address issues associated with them.

'The big question for us is what is best for our constituents and the people who live in the city of Albany,'she said."
